BEFORE THE SWIMMING GETS UNDERWAY...

Some rowing news - Kirsten McCann and Ursula Grobler dominated their women’s lightweight double sculls heat, easily outdoing the Irish to qualify for the semi-finals on Wednesday. The men’s lightweight double sculls saw James Thompson and John Smith impress, securing the fastest time in the four heats. In the womens pair, Lee-Anne Persse and Kate Christowitz finished second behind New Zealand and secured a berth in the semi-final.
