Cape Town - Amaglug-glug goalkeeper Jody February is eager to fight for the number one jersey with Itumeleng Khune at the Rio Olympics.
Khune was selected alongside Eric Mathoho as the permitted overage players for the under-23 tournament in Brazil.
February played an instrumental role for the team during the qualification phase of the competition.
Some have criticised the selection of Khune, stating that February deserves to be retained as the first-choice stopper.
"To be honest with you, I took it as a challenge as it came," February told Goal website.
"Depending on the situation, normally I use such situations to psych myself up because it helps me take my game to another level I guess.
"But I am embracing the situation and I am looking forward to the challenge. Right now my focus is solely on Rio and I am not thinking about anything outside, but if I am given a chance by the club, I will take it with both hands."
