Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town coach Roger De Sa has lauded Itumeleng Khune for his individual performance in South Africa's 0-0 draw with Brazil at the 2016 Olympics.
The former Orlando Pirates mentor cited that Khune's experience as a major factor for Amaglug-glug if they are to progress in the tournament.
"His (Khune’s) performance was very good. He made at least two decisive saves and this enabled us to remain in the game," De Sa told KickOff website.
"He showed his experience in that match because Brazil were always going to be dangerous. They are the hosts and they are a great name in world football."
De Sa reserved praise for the performance of Owen Da Gama's side as a collective and encouraged the nation to support the team.
De Sa also lauded the collective performance of the team, pointing out that their performance against Brazil will boost their confidence ahead of their other matches.
"To me, it was not only about Khune. The whole team did well and I really think that da Gama and his men can take us far in this tournament.
"Abbubaker Mobara, Keagan Dolly and Gift Motupa played very well. This is a team made up of a very determined lot and they deserve our support," the former goalkeeper noted.
