Johannesburg - South Africa's 62-member Paralympic team will assemble in Johannesburg this weekend ahead of their departure for the London Games on Tuesday.
"The team will spend three days together, during which they will be kitted out as well as fine-tune their preparations in the seven sporting codes that they will be represented in during the Games," the SA Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (Sascoc) said in a statement on Friday.
"The codes that South Africa will contest are athletics, cycling, equestrian, rowing, swimming, wheelchair basketball and wheelchair tennis."
The Paralympic Games start on August 29 and will come to a close on September 9.
The SA team bagged 30 medals, including 21 gold, at the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing, finishing sixth of 148 countries in the medals table.
