Nissan Easter Festival time

Cape Town - Nissan South Africa is once again partnering with the Gauteng Horse Society (GHS) for the Nissan Easter Festival taking place from Saturday, March 23 to Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Kyalami Equestrian Park in Johannesburg.

Visitors can expect to see South Africa’s top show jumpers in action competing in all the usual equestrian disciplines of dressage and show jumping with the Adult SA Jumping Outdoor Grand Prix on the final day being the highlight of the event.

Equestrian enthusiasts, animal lovers, and the whole family are invited to 10 fun-filled days of exciting entertainment. Enjoy food and drink at the Neigh-bours Country Market, stroll through the various stalls, treat the family to the One Equine Animal festival on March 31 and April 1 and keep the children entertained at the fully supervised children’s play area, the petting zoo and pony rides.

A variety of Nissan vehicles will be on display at the Bernard McHardy Arena from March 29 to April 1. Nissan continuously inspires a new raft of customers by simply delivering ‘innovation that excites”.

Nissan SA MD Mike Whitfield explains that the fit of brand to equestrian sport is a natural for his company.

“It has given us enormous pleasure to be associated with the Gauteng Horse Society,” says Whitfield, “as both parties can relate to the passion and discipline required to achieve perfection.”

GHS Chairman Gordon Mowatt says “The Gauteng Horse Society is delighted to once again host this year’s Nissan Easter Festival, one of the premier equestrian events on the calendar.  With our excellent partner, Nissan South Africa’s generous contribution, we are preparing arenas of the highest standard for an event not to be missed.”

One of the 2012 runners up Paige Shiller shares her outlook, “This is the first big show of the year, and hopefully it will be a good start for me. The Nissan Outdoor Grand Prix is always well supported and provides for great spectator value.”

With something for everyone, the action-packed Nissan Easter Festival is an event not to miss.
