Johannesburg - SASCOC board member Ray Mali on Monday said he was prepared for possible resistance when he arrived at Athletics South Africa’s head office to take over administration of the sporting body on Monday, according to Eye Witness News.
This comes as suspended ASA president Leonard Chuene faces the boot from his office in Houghton over the handling of the Caster Semenya gender saga.
Mali has been tasked with ensuring an interim ASA board is elected but it appears like he will face resistance from ASA officials who have indicated they will oppose the move.
It is understood Mali is meeting with ASA’s General Manager Molatelo Malehopo.
