Johannesburg - Chad le Clos secured South Africa's second medal on Saturday, on the penultimate day of the World Short-Course Championships in Istanbul.
Le Clos bagged silver in the men's 50 metres butterfly final, finishing 0.04 seconds behind Brazil's Nicholas Santos, who won in 22.22. American Thomas Shields was third, touching the wall a further 0.2 seconds behind.
The 20-year-old South African had won gold in the men's 100m butterfly on Thursday.
