UFC's McGregor gets Hollywood gig

Cape Town - The UFC's featherweight champion, Conor McGregor, is set to make his Hollywood debut in a blockbuster alongside Vin Diesel.

According to Twitch Film, the cast for the next installment of the 'xXx' movie franchise has been released says Nick Strickland of MMALatestNews.com.

UFC champion Conor McGregor, Tony Jaa, Jet Li and Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone are all set to co-star along side Vin Diesel in his return to the franchise as extreme athlete and secret agent Xander cage or better know as 'XXX.'

Last week Diesel posted via his twitter account that actor Samuel L. Jackson will also be returning in the next movie.

Jackson will be returning as Agent Augustus Gibbons.

Conor McGregor was rumoured to be co-starring along side Mark Wahlberg in an upcoming 2016 movie but will now join Ronda Rousey who has also worked with the Hollywood star.

McGregor (19-2) is coming off of his 13 second K.O victory over former champion Jose Aldo at UFC 194 on Dec. 12 in Las Vegas.

The Irish fighter has taken the MMA world by storm since his UFC debut in April of 2013 and now it seems may be ready to become the promotions next crossover superstar (Ronda Rousey being the first).

McGregor has yet to have his next opponent announced as there are rumours of the Irish star defending his featherweight title against Frankie Edgar or going up to challenge the 155-pound King, Rafael dos Anjos, who is fresh off of his TKO win over Donald Cerrone a few weeks ago.
