Rousey not switching camps

Cape Town - Following the first loss of Ronda Rousey's already impressive career, many fighters and coaches voiced their opinions on what she should do.

Finally, Rousey has announced her future plans according to Nick Strickland from MMALatestNews.com.

Nearly a month on from her stunning K.O loss to Holly Holm in Australia, Rousey will continue to train with her longtime coach Edmomd Tarverdyan.

“Of course I’m staying with Tarverdyan,” Rousey told ESPN. “That’s my Mom’s opinion, not mine.”

Prior to UFC193 Rousey’s mother AnnMaria DeMars publicly slammed Edmond calling him “a terrible coach”, also saying if there wasn’t a law against it she “would run him over with my car.”

Ronda broke her silence about the loss, saying she did not like her performance, and she is “embarrassed” about it.

Coming into the fight off of three straight finishes, Ronda’s confidence was extremely high but said after the first punch from Holm she was not able to shake the cobwebs.

Now with Rousey announcing she is staying put, no timeline has been given on her return.

She is still healing from surgery to her inner mouth and may still be 3-6 months before she can even eat properly.

Regardless of when she plans on returning she made it very clear she needs to come back and “beat this chick.”

“I need to come back,” Rousey said. “I need to beat this chick. Who knows if I’m going to pop my teeth out or break my jaw or rip my lip open again. I have to f*cking do it. It doesn’t matter. I have to do it.”
