Parker retains WBO heavyweight crown

Wellington, May 6, 2017 (AFP) -New Zealander Joseph Parker retained his World Boxing Organisation (WBO) world heavyweight crown in Auckland on Saturday when he beat Romanian Razvan Cojanu in a unanimous decision.

Cojanu, ranked 14th by the WBO, only stepped in a fortnight ago to face Parker after the mandatory challenger, Hughie Fury, withdrew with a back injury.
