McGregor signs endorsement deal ahead of UFC 194

Cape Town - With just over a week to go till the main event of UFC 194, one-half of that main event has inked themselves a new sponsorship deal as Conor McGregor and BSN join forces.

McGregor announced the news on Wednesday afternoon via his twitter account.

McGregor is getting ready to fight his long time rival, Jose Aldo, who has gone on a 7-0 unbeaten streak in his UFC career, reported Nick Strickland from the MMALatestNews.com website

The two men were scheduled to meet at UFC 189, but a rib injury forced Aldo out of the bout. McGregor (18-2) went on to beat late-replacement Chad Mendes and capture the interim featherweight title. Now, after over a year of waiting, McGregor and Aldo (25-1) will finally meet on Saturday December 12 to crown the undisputed UFC featherweight champion of the world.

Landing this endorsement deal with BSN just days before the single biggest fight of his career is sure to add a little more confidence to an already super confident McGregor.

BSN’s VP for Global Marketing, Kent Cunningham, had the following say about their new athlete.

“Conor is the human embodiment of all that BSN stands for, both inside and outside of the Octagon. In Conor, we are witnessing an athlete who pushes himself and his sport past previous limits; BSN continues to do the same with sports nutrition.”
