'Money' in the money

Cape Town - Floyd Mayweather will make a guaranteed $41.5 million (R425m) for his WBA/WBC junior middleweight unification fight against Saul Alvarez on Saturday, September 14, according to the SI.com website.

Mayweather made $32 million (R328m) EACH for his May 2012 victory over Miguel Cotto and for his May bout against Robert Guerrero.

In 2013, Mayweather will make an estimated $73.5 million (R754m).

Alvarez (42-0-1, 30 KOs) and Mayweather (44-0, 26 KOs) will square off at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
