Wiggins leads Romandie tour

La Chaux-de-Fonds - Bradley Wiggins won a sprint finish on the second stage of the six-day Tour de Romandie on Wednesday and took the overall leader's yellow jersey.

The British pre-race favourite made his move 150m from the line and held off Lieuwe Westraof the Netherlands by a bike's length in 4 hours, 50 minutes, 23 seconds.

Paulo Tiralongo of Italy was third in the same time after a 184.5km trek from Morges to La Chaux-de-Fonds.

Wiggins used a 10-second time bonus for the stage win to lead overall by seven seconds from Team Sky colleague Michael Rogers of Australia.

Dutchman Bauke Mollema trails Wiggins by nine seconds in third.

Wiggins gave Sky their second straight victory after Geraint Thomas won Tuesday's prologue.
