Rabobank count on Dutch trio

Paris - Dutch trio Robert Gesink, Bauke Mollema and Steven Kruijswijk will spearhead Rabobank's challenge at this year's Tour de France which gets under way in Liege, Belgium, on June 30.

"Gesink showed he is in good form by finishing fourth in the Tour of Switzerland," team sporting director Nico Verhoeven said on Monday of the rider who finished fifth in the 2010 Tour de France.

Gesink suffered a fall on the fifth stage of last year's race and finished 33rd overall.

"We're targeting good positions in the overall standings for him and Mollema," said Verhoeven, adding that Kruijswijk, who finished eighth in last year's Giro, will be an alternate leader.

Spaniard Luis Leon Sanchez, who has had stage successes on the Tour in the past, will also be on the team along with Australian sprinter Mark Renshaw.

Dutch rider Lars Boom was not included in the line-up.

Rabobank team for Tour de France:

Laurens ten Dam (NED), Robert Gesink (NED), Steven Kruijswijk (NED), Bauke Mollema (NED), Mark Renshaw (AUS), Luis Leon Sanchez (ESP), Bram Tankink (NED), Maarten Tjallingii (NED), Maarten Wynants (BEL)
