Sofia - Bulgarian cyclist Ivaylo Gabrovski has been banned for two years after failing a doping test during the Tour of Turkey which he won, the Bulgarian cycling union said Sunday.
Gabrovski was disqualified and stripped of his title after testing positive for the banned blood booster EPO in late April.
The 34-year-old's B sample also confirmed the presence of the banned substance in his urine, the International Cycling Union (UCI) announced mid-September.
