Olympic champions Kenny and Trott marry

London - British cycling's golden couple Jason Kenny and Laura Trott have got married.

Kenny, 28, confirmed the longtime couple were now husband and wife with a tweet on Sunday which said: "Good morning Mrs Kenny."

It showed a photograph of a smiling Trott huddled up in bed with the couple's dogs, Sprolo and Pringle, at her feet.

Trott, 24, and Kenny both enjoyed yet more Olympic success at this year's Rio Games.

Trott won two golds to become Britain's most successful female Olympian while Kenny's three golds took his overall tally to six following previous successes in Beijing and London.

Trott's delighted father also wrote on Sunday: "So pleased to announce that my darling daughter @LauraTrott31 married @JasonKenny107 yesterday (Saturday). Thank you to everyone. A wonderful day."

Trott is a four-time Olympic champion after retaining the team pursuit and women's omnium titles in Rio that she won at London 2012.

Kenny now has seven Olympic track sprint medals, six of which are gold.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
