Crash forces SA cycling champ out of Paris-Nice

Cape Town - A heavy fall has forced SA road race champion, Reinardt Janse van Rensburg, out of the prestigious Paris-Nice cycle race on stage 3.

Janse van Rensburg of Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka, was racing in the peloton when he went to ground just 30 km from the stage finish. 

It was confirmed that he would take no further part in the race which is currently led by Arnaud Démare of France. 

The extent of Janse van Rensburg's injuries are not yet know, but he was able to walk after the incident.
