Sagan pulls out of Vuelta

La Camperona - Three-time Tour de France points winner Peter Sagan pulled out of the Tour of Spain on Saturday, organisers said.

The 24-year-old Slovakian did not even start the 200.8km 14th stage from Santander to La Camperona.

The Cannondale leader, whose nickname is Wolverine, had been an anonymous figure throughout the race so far.
