Nibali victorious at Coppa Bernocchi

Paris - Italy's 2014 Tour de France champion Vincenzo Nibali got back to winning ways on Thursday at the Coppa Bernocchi race in Legnano, northern Italy.

Nibali was disqualified from Spain's Vuelta last month for being towed by his Astana team car as he tried to catch up after being among a group of riders caught up in a crash.

Nibali, 30, who has been selected to compete in the upcoming road world championships in Richmond, Virginia, last won on the 19th stage of the Tour de France on July 24.

The Sicilian, who finished second in the Coppa Agostoni on Wednesday, crossed the line after the 192km race just a second ahead of ahead of compatriots Mauro Finetto and Matteo Trentin.
