Cavendish wis Almeria classic

Madrid - Mark Cavendish continued his flying start to the season as he sprinted to victory in the Almeria classic on Sunday.

The British rider edged out Spaniard Juan Jose Lobato and Australia's Mark Renshaw respectively to claim victory in the 185.9kilometre race in the southern Spanish region of Andalusia in a time of 4hr 36min 19sec.

Cavendish won two stages on his way to overall victory at the Tour of Dubai last week.
