Rome - Italy's national Olympic Committee (CONI) says cyclist Pasquale Muto has tested positive for the endurance-boosting hormone EPO.
CONI said on its website Tuesday that the check was carried out on April 10 in Genoa after the running of the Giro dell'Appennino.
CONI says the National Anti-doping Tribunal ordered that Muto be provisionally suspended.
