Falzes - Switzerland's Olympic time-trial champion Fabian Cancellara will make his return to competition on Wednesday in the Tour of Bavaria after nearly two months out through injury.

The 31-year-old fractured his right collarbone in four places after crashing during the Tour of Flanders classic on April 1.

"The return to regular training took longer than was originally planned," said the rider known as 'Spartacus' for his combative attitude to bike racing.

The Tour of Bavaria runs from Wednesday to Sunday.
