Varades - Seven-times Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong will take a month-long break after this week's Circuit de la Sarthe, his RadioShack team said on Tuesday.
"Lance will go back to Texas which means he will not take part in the Amstel Gold Race, Fleche Wallonne and Liege-Bastogne-Liege one-day races," RadioShack spokesman Philippe Maertens told reporters.
After the low-key race in western France ending on Friday, American Armstrong will not be competing until the May 16-23 Tour of California.
The main goal in his season is the July 3-25 Tour de France.
