Sport4Good: Marius Schoeman

Cape Town - In the fifth of our Q&A sessions with one of the riders on the Sport4Good Team, we chat to Bok Sevens legend Marius Schoeman.

Q. Have you ever done the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour before?
A. Yes, last year....7hours 46mins....no jokes

Q. What is your biggest fear for this year’s race?
A. Last year John Allan came past me,.....it can't happen again!

Q. Have you started training yet?
A. Only intensive planning so far, but Monday sounds like a good day to start

Q. If so, what have you been doing and if not, why not?
A. Form is temporary, talent is forever.....or so they say...

Q. Do you believe in carbo loading?
A. I believe we're all gonna kak-off in this race

Q. Have you ever sat in a coffee shop with your helmet still on after a training ride?
A. Well, training starts Monday. I'll keep you up to date

Q. Lycra or mountain bike shorts?
A. Cape Argus or Epic?...

Q. Shaved or unshaved (legs for the race that is)
A. Shaved most men would say

Q. Bobby Skinstad or Robbie Fleck?
A. Sorry Fleckie, but I need Bob as our MC for a Charity Golf Day in 6 weeks time, so he's flavour of the month...

Q. Back to work on the Monday after the race or pull a sickie?
A. Well, if John Allan comes past me again, it means i will probably not be finished in time for work on Monday...
