Cape Town - In less than two weeks, Cape Town will welcome over 1 000 athletes into the city for the inaugural Cape Town Corporate Games.
This event is recognised as the world’s largest corporate multisport festival and the Games’ arrival will re-enforce Cape Town’s position as a major world sports capital and centre for business.
The whole region is preparing for the arrival of athletes travelling by road, sea and air. Competitors are flocking to a host of hotels, the UCT campus and a variety of sports facilities for a great weekend of sport, business and tourism in a multisport festival dedicated to Weekend Sports Warriors from everywhere.
Multi-national and national organisations are sending their employees in huge numbers to fly their corporate banners and to challenge one another in many different sports across the weekend.
There are multiple sports on the Official Programme, ranging from traditional racquet sports to golf, soccer and some dramatic dragon boat racing.
And when not competing, athletes are invited to enjoy Celebrations hosted around the City, including the Grand Parade of Athletes and Great Games Party to herald the arrival of the Games into the region.
Gemma Godfrey, COO for the Corporate Games and a global ambassador of the Worldwide Corporate Games Community, has flown in especially to support the event:

Cape Town is expected to attract over 1 000 participants from every corner of South Africa, making it the largest corporate multisport festival of its kind in the continent.
