Harmse wins gold in Delhi

New Delhi - South Africa's Chris Harmse saved the best for last to win the hammer throw title at the Commonwealth Games for the country’s seventh gold after Cameron van der Burgh also took gold in the pool.

Harmse let out a scream of delight after hurling the hammer 73.15m to snatch the gold with his last throw.

England's Alex Smith hauled a personal best of 72.95 to take the silver while another Englishman, Mike Floyd, took the bronze with 69.34.
