Cape Town - Disgraced Athletics South Africa boss Leonard Chuene is to be honoured by a church in his Limpopo home province, according to a report on Sowetanlive.

"We are honouring Leonard for his invaluable contribution to the development of athletics in South Africa and on the continent," said pastor Clement Koma of the Porters' House.

"He was also there to support Caster Semenya, who went on to make the country proud by winning a gold medal at the World Championships."

Chuene was suspended as president of ASA for his poor handling of the Semenya gender-testing debacle.
