Shield's Bok campaign praised

Johannesburg - Brand inc Sport’s sponsorship campaign for Shield’s Springbok deal has been praised by Shield’s assistant brand manager Odele Sheik.

Design and advertising sports specialist agency, Brand inc Sport, was brought on board to assist Unilever’s deodorant market leader brand Shield with their through-the-line campaign sponsorship of the Springboks last month.

The campaign draws on numerous tactical elements, including massive out of home activations.

The out of home component within their consumer line of attack went ‘live’ mid September, alongside specifically targeted South African highways - the most notable being a 100m wall graphic on Johannesburg’s M1 near the WITS observatory as well as the enormous 100m building wrap in Cape Town’s CBD.

Sheik said: “The out of home and campaign collateral created by Brand inc is extraordinary. The impact of seeing the larger-than-life sized Springboks breaking through the billboards will undeniably attract attention.

“We need to bring home the message that Shield is a proud sponsor of the Springboks, and will be behind the Bokke throughout the Rugby World Cup - and this outdoor tactical approach is a way to achieve this.”
