Buck the odds with Sport24

Cape Town - Die-hard sporting fans listen up.

Fancy yourself as something of a sporting guru? If so, why not turn your knowledge into cash along with Sport24?

Nobody will ever say no to a little something extra on the side - especially when there's too much month left at the end of the money.

So, every Friday morning Sport24 will offer our Top Tips of the weekend. Odds you can bet on with confidence!

We've done the hard graft for you by consulting South Africa's leading four bookmakers - GreatOdds, VoltBet, World Sports Betting and SportsBet.

Let's get winning!

1) Rugby: Tri-Nations: Australia v New Zealand, Christchurch - 09:35

The All Blacks have been in sublime form in this year's Tri-Nations and can wrap up a 10th title - and retain the Bledisloe Cup - with victory in Christchurch. There appears no stopping the men in Black as they look to record a ninth straight win over their Australasian neighbours. Conventional wisdom suggests New Zealand will win by plenty.

Sport24 Top Tip - Half-time / Full Time
New Zealand / New Zealand on offer at 1/3 at GreatOdds

2) Rugby: Currie Cup: Griquas v Western Province, Kimberley - 15:00

The tough as nails Griquas outfit have had WP's number over the past two seasons, winning by a single point in Kimberley on each occasion. However, Allister Coetzee's team is flying high atop the standings and have Francois Louw, Gio Aplon and Juan de Jongh back in the mix for Saturday's match. Expect them to win going away.

Sport24 Top Tip - Handicap
Western Province - 7 on offer at 10/11 at GreatOdds

3) Rugby: Currie Cup: Sharks v Lions, Durban - 17:05

John Mitchell has been unable to right the sinking Lions ship thus far in 2010 and things don't look like getting any better in Durban on Saturday against a Sharks team that has recalled Jannie du Plessis and Beast Mtawarira to the front row, with Bismarck du Plessis starting on the bench - and the bookies agree! Not great value to be had, but nothing wrong with a sure bet from time to time...

Sport24 Top Tip - Match price
Sharks to win on offer at 1/8 at VoltBet

4) Soccer: Community Shield: Chelsea v Manchester United - 17:00

The football scene swings into action in the UK on Sunday with the Community Shield between the two giants of the English game. Nice little pre-season hit-out at Wembley for Carlo Ancelotti and Sir Alex Ferguson's sides. Don't expect fireworks as neither team will want to give away too many secrets ahead of the start of the English Premiership the following weekend.

Sport24 Top Tip - 90 minute betting
DRAW on offer at 2/1 at World Sports Betting

5) Soccer: Telkom Charity Cup - 17:00

Three of South Africa's biggest clubs - and AmaZulu - take part in Saturday's extravaganza at Soccer City. AmaZulu will face Orlando Pirates in the first "semi-final" at 10:00 before Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns do battle at 12:00. The winners clash at 17:00. By virtue of the fact they have the easier semi-final and the second match is too 50/50 to call, the bet is...

Sport24 Top Tip - Telkom Charity Cup winner
Orlando Pirates on offer at 2/1 at VoltBet
