Cape Town - South African Charne Bosman overtook defending champion Caroline Wostmann in the final few kilometres to win a thrilling 2016 women's Comrades.
Wostmann, looking to defend her title from last year's 'up' run, ran into problems in the closing stages and was forced to walk.
Bosman, who had been as much as 11 minutes adrift at one stage, finished strongly and overtook an ailing Wostmann with 2km to go to the Kingsmead Stadium finish line.
To compound matters, Wostmann had a near miss with a motorbike following her (see below).
Bosman finished in a time of 6:25.55.
