Boks, celebs 'Get the X' as Asics launches the fuzeX

Cape Town - A host of Springbok rugby players and celebrities met up at the Sea Point Promenade this week to 'Get the X' as ASICS launched the brand new fuzeX running shoe.

Four teams competed against each other for bragging rights as to which team could 'Get the X' first in three fun activities as they experienced the perfect shoe to run long, short and anywhere in between.

Professional sportsmen that attended included Springbok rugby players Eben Etzebeth, Frans Malherbe, Siya Kolisi and Pieter-Steph du Toit, Proteas bowler Vernon Philander and fitness guru Steve Uria.

Some of the celebrities that participated include 5FM DJ Poppy Ntshongwana, model Kerry McGregor and presenter Danilo Acquisto.

The first team to 'Get the X' was led by Vernon Philander.

"I'm so glad we were the first team to Get the X! Also getting to experience the brand new fuzeX running shoe was a nice touch by ASICS - it not only fits extremely comfortably and is very light - it looks amazing!", said Vernon.

ASICS unveils a complete new collection of running footwear, fuzeX.
