Russian twin out Two Oceans

Cape Town - Russian running sensation Olesya Nurgalieva has been forced to pull out of next weekend's Two Oceans Marathon in Cape Town.

Nurgalieva would've been the defending champion, having also won the race in 2008 and 2010.

However, her twin sister Elena will line up at the start of the 56km race scheduled for Easter Saturday, April 7.

The news was confirmed on the Two Oceans Marathon Twitter page: sad news from the russian twins - Olesya is injured and can't run. Her sister Elena is on her way and will run the #omtom on 7 April.
