Drugs could see Oscar banned

Johannesburg - Oscar Pistorius could be banned from competition if the drugs allegedly found in his home turn out to be prohibited substances for athletes, according to a Sowetan report.

A former chairperson of the SA Institute for Drug-Free Sport said on Tuesday that the mere possession of drugs was a doping offence, alongside other infringements such as trafficking and tampering with samples.

The Times reported on Tuesday that boxes of drugs and several syringes were found in Pistorius's home.
