Daegu - Amantle Montsho won the women's 400m on Monday, Botswana's first ever medal at the World Championships.

Montsho held America's Allyson Felix off on the home straight to win in a time of 49.56sec, just 0.03sec ahead of Felix, with Russia's Anastasiya Kapachinskaya taking bronze (50.24).
