London - Kendra Harrison set a new 100m hurdles world record of 12.20 at the London Diamond League meeting on Friday.
Harrison beat the old record of 12.21 set by Bulgaria's Yordanka Donkova on August 20, 1988.
"I had a vision of going out there and showing the girls what I can do. The heat time gave me my confidence back," the 28-year-old, who will not be going to the Olympics, told the BBC.
"I am at a loss for words, I'm in shock."
