Pole sets hammer world record

Warsaw - Poland's Anita Wlodarczyk became the first woman to break the 80m-barrier when she set a new world record in the hammer with a throw of 81.08m on Saturday.

She improved on her own world record of 79.58m which she set in Berlin in August 2014.

Wlodarczyk, 29, reached her new mark at the Festival of Throwers in Wladyslawowo on the Baltic coast.
