Comrades road closures

Durban - This year the Comrades Marathon will be run over a distance of 89.28km from Pietermaritzburg to Durban.

With an anticipated 20 000 runners clogging the road to Durban, traffic flow and access to certain roads on the Comrades Route will be significantly limited on Sunday 30 May 2010.

The Comrades Marathon Association (CMA) issues an apology to residents and businesses along the race route for any inconvenience caused and would like to advise members of the public who wish to cheer their relatives or friends from the various spectator spots on the route, to travel there early before the routes close.

The CMA would like to convey its sincere thanks and appreciation to all residents and businesses located on the route who will be inconvenienced on race day, for their  cooperation and understanding in this regard.
