Bolt in minor road accident

Kingston - Usain Bolt's publicist says her client was involved in a minor car crash in Jamaica but is not hurt.

Carole Beckford says the three-time Olympic champion was returning from a party with friends in the early hours of Sunday when he was involved in a "fender bender" in Jamaica's capital of Kingston.

Beckford told The Associated Press "there were no injuries at all" and the Bolt is "fine and resting at home."

Radio Jamaica says fellow Jamaican sprinter Asafa Powell was travelling in another car at the time and was at the scene of Bolt's accident.

Bolt and Powell had just returned to Jamaica after competing at the Diamond League meet in Norway.

A police spokesperson could not be immediately reached for details of the accident.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
