In case you missed it, the Blues unveiled their new haka in front of a 40 000-plus crowd at Eden Park before their upset win over the British and Irish Lions on Wednesday.

However, it received some flak after critics complained it included a throat-slitting gesture that was offensive to victims of the London terror attacks.

The composer of the Blues' haka went on to defend the war dance and said no offence was intended...

4. GOOGLE 'RENAMES' MARGARET COURT ARENA

Even a search engine as big as Google got swept up in Margaret Court's controversial comments.

Court, who has won 24 Grand Slam titles, has made headlines with her controversial stance on homosexuality and transgender people.

On Google Maps, the stadium now appears as "Evonne Goolagong Arena" in some searches.

But Google are denying they changed it...

5. PROTEAS V PAKISTAN LOSS IN NUMBERS

It's not a feel-good article, but it gives you more or less an idea of what occurred on Wednesday evening.
