3 must-watch weekend sporting events

Cape Town - It's the weekend!

But the sporting world never sleeps, so hang on tight and be sure to watch these THREE events (in no particular order)!

1. THE ASHES, 3RD TEST

It's a must-win for England if they want to keep the Ashes five-Test series alive.

Meanwhile, Australia will look to clinch the series and snatch the urn away from their tourists.

So set your alarm clocks, play at the WACA starts at 04:30 SA time.

2. ENGLISH PREMIERSHIP EXTRAVAGANZA

The English Premiership is here to keep us entertained throughout Saturday and Sunday - and Monday!

Some of the fixtures include Leicester City hosting Crystal Palace (Saturday,14:30 SA time), Arsene Wenger's Arsenal taking on Newcastle United (17:00 SA time) and then the mouthwatering fixture between the unbeaten (unbeatable?) Manchester City and the in-form Tottenham Hotspur (19:30 SA time).

We end off the weekend's Premier League action with West Bromwich Albion hosting Manchester United (Sunday, 16:15 SA time) and Bournemouth welcoming Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool (18:30 SA time).

3. RAM SLAM T20 CHALLENGE FINAL

We're down to the final two of the RAM SLAM T20 Challenge.

The Titans - or should we say the 'Proteas' - have been in red-hot form during the tournament and cruised their way into the final.

The Dolphins on the other hand have been plagued by rain-affected games, but used it to their advantage in the semi-finals against the Cape Cobras.

Will the Titans defend their title or will the Dolphins deliver an upset?

Play at SuperSport Park on Saturday starts at 18:00.

Notable mentions include the Absa Premiership, India v Sri Lanka 3rd ODI (Sunday, 10:00 SA time) and the Asian's Tour Indonesian Masters.
