Hi,
I am an avid Blue Bulls supporter but cannot understand how the selectors keep sticking with someone like Zane Kirchner over the likes of Hennie de Nille or Joe Pieterse who have a much more expansive game.
I also think that Raymond Rule is unlucky not to have made the squad, although I do agree that he needs to up his work rate especially on defense in order to deserve rubbing shoulders with our current prince of wings, Bryan Habanna. Catrakillis is also unlucky not to be picked.
As far as overseas based players go, I like Heyneke's approach (look what Percy Montgomery meant for our 2007 Springboks when he was brought back for the World Cup), but I fail to see what value Ruan Pienaar could bring to this squad?
Overall though his is an exciting squad that could help change the way our rugby is played, from the stale, predictable 10 man game to a more attractive expansive game.
Regards,
Rudi Bedeker
