This team is a much more verstaile and creative group of individuals than that taking the field in recent matches. My suspects are Zane at full back, Hougard at wing and Pienaar at scrum-half. Alberts has still not convinced me.
I would replace Alberts with Kiegan Daniels at flank; he is a game changer that would grab half an opportunity! That is what we need; big games are won by grabbing the half-chances since they outnumber the big scoring chances by 10 to 1.
I would have preferred Lambie at full-back, Hougard at scrum-half and even giving the exciting young Rhule a chance at wing.
How many international scrum-halves are played at wing? This is crazy; Hougard perfects his skills at scrum-half for 7 months a year in Super 15 and then plays at wing at the next highest level.
Zane is one dimensional, in the Morne Steyn mould, and still persists with the stupid half goose-step when facing a solid line of storming attackers! How many times does he break the defensive line like an Israel Dagg? Very seldom of none according to my record.
Choosing Ruan above our plethora of specialist scrum-halves that have played at Super 15 level against those very same scrum-halves they are up against in the Championship makes no sense. The once unpredictable Pienaar has also lost his creativity and his sharpness.
On paper and with home advantage we should win, but probably another `ugly win`.
