Proteas players MUST play franchise cricket

If only this had happened before his game went totally off the rails. I cannot understand why in SA , it is not mandatory for international players who go seriously off form or who have a gap in the intentional schedule to have to play at franchise level. If Graeme had done this 3 or 4 years ago under the right coaching regime, he may have regained (at worst) some his former glory and be right back in the CWC team. Players must put their egos aside or be forced contractually to do so. We must also stop this nonsense of "resting" our top 4 or 5 players so much. Weaned them desperately to be on form as they are our match winners. We also need to find better ways of getting players who have been off injured back into their previous form De Kock is a case in point.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
