Proteas didn't choke!

In sports, a "choke" is the failure of an athlete or an athletic team to win a game or tournament when the player or team had been strongly favoured to win or had squandered a large lead in the late stages of the event.

Therefore the Proteas have not "choked" today as they were not favourites and did not throw the game away from a favourable position!

The main reason we are going lose today comes down to bad shot selection and know one putting their hand up and taking charge of steadying the ship when we lost early wickets! The JK era is over and we need to have another plan now!

England have been a better 0DI unit for a while now and they deserve to win as they have been better than us, batting, bowling and fielding! Not only today but in recent times!

Players, selectors and the entire coaching staff need to take a long hard look at what has gone wrong in the limited overs format for sometime now and start making serious changes if they ever want to win anything!

If an "established" player is not performing, drop them! We have lots of talented cricketers in this country...give the youngsters a chance!

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
