Poite is not to blame for loss

Poite might not have been our greatest champion yesterday, but he is definitely not to blame for the loss.
In the end I think it came down to SA just not being able to adapt quickly enough, to Poite, but also the heavier underfoot conditions. The Boks seemed lethargic in their approach. They created plenty of opportunities but really never looked sharp enough to finish.

As for the ratings above - I think Marcell Coetzee was my pick for the Boks, he defended marvelously and worked incredibly hard among players who just seemed to be lost on the day. As for Jannie and Beast, their high marks were well deserved, but everyone seems to forget they were very much playing a second rate frontrow.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
