Cape Town - The majority of Sport24 readers are hoping Heyneke Meyer will deliver on his promise to give Patrick Lambie a chance to establish himself at pivot.

"(Lambie) is tried and tested at Super Rugby level, but I want to go forward with two flyhalves from here and I want to use this opportunity to see what Pat can do at this level," Meyer was quoted as saying last week.

Here's what Sport24 readers had to say about Lambie:

"That sounds almost to good to be true. HM usually picks players that he himself rates are good enough to be Boks, not those 'tried and tested at Super Rugby level' in other words those the rest of the rugby fraternity deems good enough to get a chance to play and not keep the bench warm for 75 minutes of the 80 per game." - Sean

"My hope is that he is able to convert his talk to action, which means a slight change in his selection policy, but he certainly is saying the things that I want to hear."
- TravieGrif

"You better use the opportunity, Lambie, while Goosen is injured. Good luck!"
- Jamba

"If that's the case then well done Meyer...but please give him more than one test to prove himself." - moses.govender.7

"Go Pat, prove to the world what many of your fans already know, that you are the best flyhalf in SA."
- CalliedJ

"Great Lambie, now prove Heyneke Meyer wrong for using Morne Steyn when he should have left him out of the team." - Roy W

"Best news I've heard in a while!"
- joshua.m.austin.5

"Ek hoop net Lambie skop goed Saterdag anders word hy ook gekruisig."
- tertius.devereaux.1

"I'm extremely confident in Lambie. I just said he must not be limited to a set game plan and must express himself the way he does best."
- gary.doyle.520

"Hope for the best for Lambie and support him all the way for the upcoming Test."
- gert.swart.393

Brilliant in both the Currie Cup and Super Rugby, can Lambie finally take that step up at international level? (Gallo Images)
