Fourie's a jolly good fellow!

Cape Town - Sport24 readers have hailed Fourie du Preez's performance for the Springboks against the Wallabies in Cape Town last Saturday.

Du Preez was named man of the match in the Springboks' 28-8 victory, putting in a brilliant display with long authoritative passes, quick service from the base of the rucks and fine anticipation giving much-needed impetus to Bok attacking initiatives.

Du Preez provided the final pass for two of the three Springbok tries, and is still regarded by many pundits to be one of the best No 9s in world rugby.

The Rugby World Cup-winning No 9, made his second appearance for his country in almost two years, after he massively confirmed his pedigree coming on as a replacement in South Africa's 73-13 massacre of Argentina in their 2013 Rugby Championship opener.

Although Du Preez only entered the fray in the 54th minute against the Pumas, he had a significant impact from the bench as the Springboks scored five tries with him on the field. Du Preez scored a try himself and had a hand in several others as he showed his class.

Du Preez is almost a certainty to start against the All Blacks in the Springboks' Rugby Championship decider at Ellis Park.

The match kicks off at 17:00 on Saturday.

This is what Sport24 readers and the pundits had to say about Du Preez's performance:
