Fans tip bittersweet Bok win

Johannesburg - The Springboks will beat the All Blacks this weekend, BUT will fail to lift the Rugby Championship trophy, Sport24 readers say.

The Springbok face the All Blacks at Ellis Park hoping to earn their first win against the All Blacks since 2011, when they beat their New Zealand foes 18-5 at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

To win the Rugby Championship the Springboks will have to claim a bonus point by scoring four tries, prevent the All Blacks from doing the same, and make sure that they win by a margin greater than seven points - a tough ask against the No 1-ranked team in the world!

84% of readers were tipping a Springbok win against the All Blacks, but over half of readers said it wouldn't be enough to claim the 2013 Rugby Championship title.

The match kicks off at 17:00 on Saturday.

Sport24 asked:

"The scene is set: Springboks v All Blacks at Ellis Park to decide the 2013 Rugby Championship title. Odds favour NZ, but how do you see the match finishing?"

These were the results:

27% - The Boks will score 4 tries and beat the All Blacks by 8 or more points and secure the title!
57% - The Boks will win, but WON'T do enough to claim the trophy
16% - The All Blacks will win
0% - Match drawn

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
