Cape Town - Sport24 readers have blasted the South African Football Association (SAFA) in the wake of a FIFA report regarding a match-fixing scandal that saw leading SAFA officials suspended.
Here's what Sport24 readers had to say about the match-fixing scandal:
"Welcome to South Africa, corruption everywhere." - Osmaseko
"Long overdue!" - Madise Paul
"Wow! during elections they were the one fighting left and right to remove Dr I.Khoza from that post, knowing that they have something special to do once they occupy it, now the scandal is revealed and they are suspended, let Khoza be put back to SAFA and all those who are found to be involved in that crime once found guilty be removed from SAFA." - mmoledis
"The Afcon should be withdrawn from this corrupt country." - Gary Desousa
"Surprise, surprise..." - Andrew McMurray
"The more things change...the more they stay the same." - nmmusi1
"Probe everybody, including players." - Ntshobs
"Sad indeed." - Beertjie.Peertjie
"No doubt he is suspended with full pay, pending a disciplinary hearing.....which will take 18 months to be finalised. It's a joke, can't these idiots just 'fall on their own swords'?.....no, because they miss out on 'the gravy train'." - AM
"Like the cricket scandal with Majola,we now have a similar one with SAFA. " - Roy W
"How does someone at that level fix the result of a game. There must be a lot more people involved including players." - Ungwe
