Cape Town - Most Sport24 readers have given Heyneke Meyer's Springbok team the thumbs up for the Rugby Championship opener against Argentina.

The Springbok side for Saturday’s match at the FNB Stadium in Soweto shows four changes from the team which beat Samoa in June, with two of the changes in the starting XV.

Duane Vermeulen is back in action after an injury lay-off and takes over from the injured Pierre Spies at No 8.

At lock, Juandré Kruger and Flip van der Merwe swap places in a horses-for-courses selection.

Fourie du Preez and Gurthro Steenkamp, who both start on the bench, were called in from overseas to bolster the team for the tournament.
